Philip Wadler and I work at the same company-- his
home page is:
http://www.research.avayalabs.com/user/wadler/
If you take a look at his page: "Functional
Programming in the Real World", you'll see an entry
for REBOL.

It's been a while since I visited that page.
Cool, Rebol considered functional!

Whether or not REBOL is functional may be open to
debate (sorta like the OO moniker). On the REBOL
entry, I simply wrote that it supports a functional
style.
I exchanged a few emails with Philip about REBOL, and
he asked me to write up the REBOL page. I used
information from Rebol.com and added some info here
and there. If anything should be changed for the sake
of accuracy, email me directly.
Thanks.
