new website

 [1/6] from: rishioswal:yaho:o at: 18-Apr-2002 10:17

Hi all. I am not Petr, but there is a new rebol website online. At first glance, design seems great but I would have to think whether I like the color scheme, and center aligning. There are also some new prices in the purchase section. Btw, I'm sure Rebol is busy modifying the site and they know that the search should go in the left nav bar... looks like it's time for some new stuff soon... rishi

:-) Well, I looked, byt strangely enough I got old design, even if I reloaded the page. Now I can see it thoug ... I liked the older design better, as: 1) there seem to be no background on both the sides as well as top of the page ... 2) the "green" color looks strange :-) 3) what do I really miss though are those nice product icons .... Anyway ... I will survive it ... new prices and platform support is really interesting - Rebol cross platform support is shaking, as well as is missing 50USD View/Pro ... btw: the site is somehow very slow for me here, even being on ISDN line .... how does it work for others? Thanks, -pekr-

Nice to see that the order page is secure again. I note that they have finally removed the $49 advert for the non-commercial version of View/Pro leaving only the commercial version for sale. -- Graham Chiu

No BeOS for Command I notice, or Amiga for anything...

That's sensible, I think. Paying $50 for something you still couldn't use for commercial work was a bit odd.

It was changing as I was looking at it so perhaps there was work going on while you were looking at it too. -- Carl Read

Eh? I see Amiga listed under /Core and /Command and /View. BeOS R5 for /Command as well. --Charles

Well, Petr was talking about prices, so it was the Purchase page I was looking at... https://demo.rebol.net/cgi-bin/cart/order.r I (now) notice BeOS and Amiga are mentioned on the Command page... http://www.rebol.com/command.html so perhaps they are still included. -- Carl Read
