Can someone try this out in 1.2 ?
Start up View
click on Rebol.com
click on Sites
Enter any site not your own
click on console
type "desktop"
click on Local
Up pops an error message
Cannot open folder:
http://wwww.whateversiteyouclickedon/local/index.r
Using NT4.0

I get the exact same error with Amiga View, Graham. One for feedback,
I think.

Thanks, I've collected all these results and sent feedback.

I have View configured to connect on startup. That (the
connection attempt) now consistently fails. This has just
occurred on the same box I'm using to read/send email, so
I know the box is 'net connected.
In addition, when I go to the console, I can type
read http://... ; a url on my intranet
and it succeeds. However
read http://www.rebol.com/
times out. Hmmmm... Gremlins back at home base???

Hi Graham,
Got the same on W98, but seems to be platform independent ; try this which
has a similar behaviour
Add in desktop/services.r : service "Edit" %edit.r
Start up View and launch "Edit" OK
Click Local folder and launch "Edit" again : Missing file: /c/program
files/rebol/view/local/edit.r
The path is relative to view folder !
For the console, found in desktop/bookmarks : file "Console" console icon
console
Is it possible to change any path for console, referring perhaps to an
environment variable
?
(rebols absolute install path ?)
Bye, hope it helps.
