view upgrade prob
[1/2] from: dayjob:hynoom at: 6-Dec-2000 13:10
I'm running View 0.10.33.3.1 from /e/program files/_rebol/view.
When I start it up, I get the "out of date" message. When I click
upgrade
, the path that's initially shown is /c/program files/rebol.
If I change it to /e/program files/_rebol/view, and click "install", I
get an error that the binary file rebol.exe couldn't be opened.
If I change the path to /e/program files/rebol/view, the install seems
to complete, but the executable that is in /e/program files/rebol/view
is the same .33. version.
If I have view, can I toss Core? Still confused about this, sorry ;-)

Rebol/Core is supposed to be a subset of Rebol/View.
Carl Sassenrath noted sometime ago that he stopped using Core
since View can do everything Core can.
Ok, you're running the experimental. And it has expired, right?
Just go to
http://www.rebol.com/xpers/xpers.html
and download the latest view031.zip archive.
You can copy the rebol.exe file inside here straight over your
old one. The other files in the archive are the same.
You can find the expiration date with
>> Beta-Expiration-Date
