Noticed your post... try this:
do http://www.rebol.com/view/demo41.r
See what error occurs.

Hello REBOLS;

I have tried to run REBOL View and connect to the REBOL site but it reports:
Connection Problem. Please confirm that your modem or LAN is connected by
running your Web browser, then try again. If it fails, you need to modify
your network setup as described above.
I have verified network settings and even tried it on two different Amigas
and using two ISP, (one with a proxy server and one without). No success.
Because this has already been covered, I tried a search through the archive
of REBOL messages for the past 100 days and didn't find any answers there.
Can someone bring me up to speed as to what I should be doing or checking?
Hardware and Software
Amiga 3000T, Miami Deluxe, REBOL/VIEW 0.10.18.1.1 Beta Test (3-Aug-2000)
Network settings
Shaw cable modem, [raboudgo--home--com], mail, mail, 24.64.2.34,
8080, generic
I also tried netmail.home.com for mail servers and all proxy types.

btw: how long does it take to start /View on your setup?

So much? Have you tried printing system/stats? And there's also very nice
script done by Carl in REBOL script library showing REBOL memory
consumtion in various ways ...Win version reports:

OK, I found it for you: http://www.rebol.com/library/scripts/mem-stats.r

Hi Gordon. I've the same as you, an 18mb Amiga, and yes, that's not
enough memory in a lot of cases, including for running the current
Demo/install settup. (New install version due with View 5, so
hopefully it'll be a bit less memory hungry.) REBOL's the first
program that's made me think I really need an extra 16Mbs. That
said, there's still plenty you could do with View on an 18Mb Amiga,
as long as you keep the fancy graphics to a minimum and don't expect
to run too many other programs alongside it.
As to speed, I consider View to be quite fast on my machine, given
it's running on just a 50Mhz 030. In fact I'm as pleased as punch
something as modern and as potentially useful as REBOL's been made
available for the 68k Amigas that there's no way you'll catch me
complaining to RT about its speed on them. I'm just too happy to
have it to play with. (:

About 12 seconds. That's the 0.10.18.1.1 experimental version. And
it grabs about 2.27megs, not counting setting up a screen for it.

Hello Rebols;
Thanks for answering my question. Sorry it took so long to get back to you.

Here are the results:
>> do http://www.rebol.com/view/demo41.r
** Access Error: Cannot make directory
/Main/Programs/REBOL/public/www.rebol.com/.
** Where: m-dir path return path
So I created these directories manually and the program works up until
it runs out of memory. I guess REBOL_VIEW is not meant for a standard Amiga
due to the small amount of memory it has, (18 MB). I have also made the same
directories on the DraCo and Rebol View runs just fine there, (128MB of RAM).
(Although it runs quite slow on the DraCo compared to AWeb and other
applications. Rebol view may be better suited for a PPC Amiga or other
similar fast processor.)

Well, I get similar numbers to you with that: 1770160 first up, and
system/stats gives much the same. Still, going by how much memory
dissapears according to what's displayed on my Workbench window, it
uses about 2.27 megs. Perhaps the consol and its window isn't taken
into account?
