Rebol Institute of Technology

 [1/2] from: gchiu::compkarori::co::nz at: 2-Apr-2003 13:21

The RIT ( Rebol Institute of Technology ) was an online teaching class initially proposed by Louis, and hosted on Rebol world. This has not eventuated in that format, and I have now taken over the organization. I have set up a wiki instead to collect and organise contributions. I have already had material provided by Andrew Martin, and Gabriele S. More contributions have been promised by other Rebol luminaries ... If the RIT can get a contribution from every participant in this mailing list, that will make 900 or more pages of rebol instructional material that would otherwise not exist. Those of us who have created websites know how hard it is to keep adding material .. after the initial enthusiasm, our websites sit in cyberspace as a monument to our past lives and desires. A wiki however, can be a living thing that grows with community participation, and can be an incomparable resource. All that I ask of you is that you take a few mins of your time to prepare a page or two of instructional material and enter it into the wiki. It does not have to be as polished as a submission to the rebzine ( RIP ) because the nature of a wiki is to allow endless revisions ... even by others. I don't mind if you're a guru or a beginner .. RIT needs you both. And if u wish to write in French, Czech, Latin or other popular language .. go for it. Someone else will eventually translate it for you. Thanks for your contributions in advance to the Rebol cause. Live long and prosper. http://www.compkarori.com/cgi-local/vanilla.r -- Graham Chiu RIT organiser
