martin, Some browsers will actually give you a download out of the cache if it knows you've downloaded a particular file before (or at least this is what I understand can happen). I downloaded the latest experimental release of View (dated 10/31/00), but when I try to run it, it says it's expired and I need a newer version. Core is fine though. - martin

My previous computer changed the year twice on me! I believe this can be caused by older PC BIOS code, but it hasn't happened regularly enough for me to be able to investigate further.
