[Tongue-in-Cheek] Library Tag Team Conference
[1/2] from: pwawood:mango:my at: 28-Mar-2005 12:10
I'm just recovering from the 16 hour flight back from the fantastic
first Rebol Library Tag Conference. Held at three locations in
Birmingham, one of Europe's major convention centres. It was a great
success with full international participation. The Tag Team didn't
announce any new tags for the Mailing List archive preferring to adopt
an Apple-like develop-announce philosophy. Just keep an eye on the
growing Topic index for new tags as and when they are introduced.
The Team did celebrate having tagged over 50% of the threads in the
mailing list archive with a wild party at Costa Coffee in a fine
example of modern architecture overlooking the spires of St. Martin's
church.
On a sadder note, I broke my return journey in London and visited the
self-claimed biggest bookshop in Europe which occupies the old Simpsons
Department store building on Piccadilly. It listed only two books on
Rebol (The Official Guide, Rebol for Dummies) in its on-line catalogue,
neither were in stock.
