Did you know about Intentional programming technological advances ?

Hi List,
Just in case you didn't know about the True future of programming as I
always myself thought about the way it should/would be done one of
these days
- and many other greater talents than me also did in the past : John
Von Nemann, John Backus and Grace Hopper to mention a few of them -
here is the first real concrete milestone to be reached in this direction.
For sure the author of this tour de force is Charles Simonyi who left
Xerox Parc a few years ago and MS more recently to start his
own Intentional software (intentsoft dot com) company.
I'm sure REBOL can propel us somewhere not too far of this planet too
... as it represents THE tool to be used to get the underlying easily
feasible, while standing powerful, flexible and small enough to get
the job well done.
Here are 2 links : One from the famous DSL author Martin Fowler and
the other from SDtimes dot com author Larry O'Brien (June, 9th 2009)
martinfowler dot com - bliki - IntentionalSoftware dot html
---> follow the 2009 DSL devcon demo link and listen or view to it
(huge files : 448 MB for the WMV, 195 MB for the MP4 and 1.4 MB for
the PDF slides only)

Hi Gérard,
I had hopes for Intentional...for a while. I still hope they do great
things, but they suffer the same problem as REBOL (only much worse):
Product visibility.
It was nice to hear they might actually show something to the world at
some point though. :)

Hi Gregg,
Being retired, I now have all my free time to wait for results ... ;-)
Nevertheless I must admit that results are not very visible even if
some of them are commercially available -but generally deliver to some
niche markets, as shown here :
http://softwaregenerators.com/related_work.html
The AOG system's approach taken by Mr. BiggerStaff seems promising too
- he uses some DSLs to support his program generation work.
See http://softwaregenerators.com/RecentWork.html about the new
Control structure he's using.
Regards,
Gerard
