[OT] - unsubscribing

 [1/3] from: Michael_Chean:msn at: 25-Jun-2004 11:06

Hi: Sorry for the intrusion - but I'm having problems unsubscribing. I get the response from the rebol list server and reply as directed, but I still get the messages. BTW, I just want to monitor this via the web, and am still interested in Rebol. Mike

Hi Michael, MC> Sorry for the intrusion - but I'm having problems unsubscribing. I get the MC> response from the rebol list server and reply as directed, but I still get MC> the messages. Hmmm, with the recent changes, all I can suggest is to check the addresses to make sure things are going to the right place. -- Gregg

Hi Michael, Like you I don't want to receive message from the list. But I still want to be able to send reply (like this one). The trick is to put yourself in Vacation. So you are not receiving anything, but you can still reply. To do this, according the help mail of the list : { TO GO ON VACATION: Send a message to the ecartis account on the server with a subject of "set [listname] vacation". You will remain subscribed to the list but will not receive any eMail as long as this flag is set. To come back from vacation, eMail the ecartis account with a subject of "unset [listname] vacation". } In this case a simple : send rebol-list-address "set Rebol Vacation" does the job (I did not put the real address to avoid spam on it). I have done a Rebol client for reading the HTML list. It include buttons to send this kind of command with just a click :-) http://membres.lycos.fr/didec/rebsite/rebol-ml/rebol-list-client.r Regards DideC
