Miranda ...

Hi, just yesterday I was suggested to use alternative to ICQ Lite (which is full of adverts, you can't turn-off sounds easily etc.). I was very suprised, that: - the client is just some 400 KB in size! - you don't need to install - just copy & run .... (when only RT will finally understand, that that should be default for View ;-) - lots of various add-ons - icon sets, skins, etc. - connects to ICQ, Jabber, AIM, IRC, MSN - protocols implemented as modules ... http://www.miranda-im.org/ Now you know why I called for unified protocol engine, which would be able to have various protocols as plug-ins ... currently we have irc, jabber, but both surely done with different aproach in mind, etc. .... wouldn't it be cool to have something like that for rebol? :-) -pekr-
