a "jed" long shot...

 [1/4] from: balayo::mindspring::com at: 8-Aug-2001 19:50

Howdy guys, I like emacs, and also use jed/xjed 'cause it's nice and fast. I don't suppose anyone has written a rebol mode for jed, have they? On an unrelated note, how do you like my stupid little sig down there? compliments of three lines of REBOL, and a file full of ridiculous phrases... (thanks for the help with 'random...) -- signature on the edge: "wheee!" -tom

Go emacs! Yay! I don't know of a jed mode, sorry. I just had to chime in and support my editor of choice. Cool random sig. I'll ave to watch for future posts to see what else pops out. All my email gets sent with an added random header element that is pulled from a list of that days historical events, birthdays, deaths, and a few more. Examine the full headers and you'll see something like: X-Random-Birthday: Joe User The most common user in the world. or X-Random-Historical-Event: Sterling creates the most idiotic use of 50 bytes of badwidth. Haha. REBOL is too much fun. :) Sterling

I too prefer emacs. But when I'm on a Windows machine, I use TextPad. Paddy's just great, I recommend him to everyone. I made a rebol syntax definition file and sent it to www.textpad.com, and they said they'd put it on the add-ons page, but I haven't seen it there yet. If anyone is interrested, just tell me, I'll send it. It covers rebol/core, but I haven't got rebol/view in there yet. ~H Du skrev (Thursday 09.08.2001, kl. 02.12):

Hi, Have a look at my textpad syntax generator on the reb at http://www.users.bigpond.com/elizabeththacker/index.r It grabs all the currently defined words and builds the syntax file from that, including vid words. I would be interested to see your textpad syntax def file for comparison. Mail me off the list at [johnkenyon--iname--com] Cheers, John Paddy's just great, I recommend him to everyone.
