These people need to find REBOL!

 [1/5] from: rgaither::triad::rr::com at: 17-Apr-2001 16:47

I was looking through old technology links and found this XML based product I was checking out some time ago. Seems they are now going open source and have taken their XML technology and are heading towards "Words". http://www.dloo.org/technology/index.html Talk about going at it the long way around! :-) Enjoy, Rod. This article is kind of like placing a shill in the audience. Once again, I see that REBOL is ahead of the game! Thanks for sharing the link. --Scott Jones

I like Larry Wall's quote I found in there, This is important, and a little hard to understand. English is useful because its a mess. Since English is a mess, it maps well onto the problem space, which is also a mess, which we call reality. --Larry Wall, "2nd State of the Onion" He must have invented PERL to deal with his interpetation of reality! --Ryan Rod Gaither wrote:

You're welcome. I think it does a good job of illustrating what Carl has said about the complexity of the problem and how the XML vision doesn't quite make it all the way there. Rod. Rod Gaither Oak Ridge, NC - USA [rgaither--triad--rr--com]

But I am not sure XML was the point - see the side-note describing MS .NET. I think that author wanted to express, that ability to creaty myriad of sub-languages can lead to mess, being it XML based (.NET), or dialect based (Rebol). Of course, dialecting is pretty much a free form ... -pekr-
