Rebol/Command Linux and Oracle?

 [1/6] from: jr:brainbyte at: 28-Sep-2000 0:43

According to the matrix (not the movie) on the Rebol site regarding Command. It would appear that Command only supports usage of Oracle DB on Linux. Is that true? If so, why? Oracle is the most expensive damn thing out there for production environments and that sorta kills the price point of Command. Thanks, Jeff

;-) but also the most likely to have a stingy viewpoint on which new softwares are running their enterprise ... My guess would be that it was to make /Express something that larger enterprises would at least consider. Though, MySQL support would also be nice, so that it would be something that smaller enterprises and ISPs could also consider. -Ted.

What does that mean? I don't see how that answers my question. Please restate. Thanks At 11:11 PM 9/27/2000 -0700, you wrote:

I don't get these answers... Why would Rebol target ONLY Oracle on Windows rather than a mix of popular DB systems? You can use ODBC to connect to other DBs in Windows but what about Linux? At 12:02 PM 9/28/2000 -0400, you wrote:
