Joel,

How many points do I get for... 32 bits = DW 16 bits = WD 8 bits = byte 4 bits = nybble 2 bits = quarter!

...or... 1 bit = twice shy!

No, $0.0625... gotcha! ;-)

If 2 bits = a quarter = $0.25 then 1 bit = half a quarter = $0.125 -jn- -- ___ ___ ___ \/ 2 + \/ 2 = 4 (for sufficiently large approximations of \/ 2 ) joel'dot'neely'at'fedex'dot'com

but once bitten, TWICE shy. aha! So shy = bit / 2 You must be using NPR! ;-)) (hint, I'm going for three.)

shy: "$.0625" ; == "$.0625" random shy ; == "0$526." :) --Scott Jones

You've been assuming that SAME? BIT BIT instead of EQUAL? BIT BIT , which won't be true until REBOL/Core 17.9.2 (according to the secret internal memo accidentally RIMed to me from Holger's hard drive... -jn- -- ___ ___ ___ \/ 2 + \/ 2 = 4 (for sufficiently large approximations of \/ 2 ) joel'dot'neely'at'fedex'dot'com

So shy = $0.125 ! -jn- -- ------------------------------------------------------------ Programming languages: compact, powerful, simple ... Pick any two! joel'dot'neely'at'fedex'dot'com

<Austin Powers voice> Oh well, no triple crown for me, baby! They're not a bit shy... about playing... I.C. But I wouldn't want to beat a dead horse, baby! Too bad 'e didn't take a nybble out of that Reverse RPN. It might have been a bit, ter sweet moment... yeah baby! Although it could 'ave been a bit, much. <switching to Maxwell Smart> ...but using the internal secret memo is the second oldest trick in the book... ...would you believe the third oldest... in a pamphlet? ...a leaflet perhaps? ...ah then, would you believe I've got a spreadsheet to investigate... Fang says he switch the bit for the real bit behind the picture!
