[ML] Not getting own messages via gmail

Max, Peter, et al,
Thanks for the input. It's something in gmail it seems. I'll try
another account.

Gregg,
I didn't see the start of this thread, but I can confirm that if gmail is set to farward
all mail to some other mail account, it still doesn't forward mail from yourself to the
rebol ML. I have lived with this behaviour for a long time. Seems there is nothing to
do about it. Guess they call it a feature, not a bug. :)

Thanks for the confirmation Hallvard.

Hi Gregg
I've stumbled across a workaround to Gmail's inadvertent censorship of
your own postings to the ML. If you send the message via the Gmail
web-interface, next time to access Gmail using POP3 you get a copy.

Peter

Isn't it easier to just check http://mail.rebol.net to see if the
message got there? :)
(BTW, I'm sending this from Gmail too.)
Regards,
Gabriele.

Hi Gabriele
That's what I do too.
Knowing how organised Gregg is I'm guessing he is processing his
incoming mail and automatically filing them. Hence the need to receive
his own message.

Peter

Thanks for the gmail clue Peter!

Ahh, I have you fooled into thinking I'm organized. :) I do, though,
have rules to sort incoming mail, and haven't yet gotten into using
the gmail interface directly. I'll set up an outgoing rule for my
gmail account in my mail client if I decide to use gmail as my ML
address again.
