lightening fast text editor, with a tiny footprint [256Kb] from Japan. Thanks for sharing this little gem with us Jason, it is an impressive piece of code. I like the guy's design philosophy, it is very REBOLish in many ways (ie. simple, fast, core functionality that others can easily build upon, etc). Now if only I can find the time to do a REBOL syntax file for it . . . ;) Regards, Ashley

I have been finally digging into Unicode a little, and just found a lightening fast text editor, with a tiny footprint [256Kb] from Japan. We all have our beloved tools, but I think some of you might appreciate this one, even if it's just for fun - a Sunday afternoon spin through the fall countryside :-) http://www.emurasoft.com/emeditor3/index.htm enjoy ./Jason

Hi Ashley Yeah..really sweet and zippy isn't it? I had forgotten what fast apps feel like. [Win98se500Mhz laptop] NoteTab is pretty damn good. UltraEdit ok too, but slower for some things, though never ntoicable. Until... It's that instant start-up and immediate response to any action. Makes me realize that in 2002, Windows in not always the mechanical culprit, but rather the bloatosphere philosophy which it helped propagate.. Anyway, we can get a start from some of the other sysntax files: http://www.emeditor.com/userfiles/ instructions http://www.emurasoft.com/emeditor3/instruction.htm and a Rebol syntax file for UltraEdit is at: ftp://ultraedit.com/wf/rebol.txt cheers ./Jason
