ftp to parent directory on a HP-UX

 [1/4] from: micael:gullmes:telenordia:se at: 11-Oct-2001 17:48

Hi all, I cannot read parent directories using read FTP towards a HP-UX server
>> files: read ftp://user:[psw--server]/../
** Script Error: Invalid argument: 12/maj/2000 ** Where: to-date ** Near: to date! :value
>>
If I do this towards a server using either Solaris or Windows it works perfectly... Any suggestions? Brgds /Micael

Micael, I had similar errors with AIX 4.3 and eventually discovered that it was a bug in the ftp server. This was easily fixed by applying a quick APAR. May be worth checking the HP-UX ftp daemon bug list. Good luck, John 8<-- I cannot read parent directories using read FTP towards a HP-UX server

This server uses localized date, and REBOL can't handle this... If you remove all files/dirs with "invalid" date stamps (or move it to another dir) I think it will work OK. Regards.mb
