Steve, I am in Markham which is just north east of Toronto. I work in Scarborough - part of the east side of Toronto where the comedian Mike Myers is from. I have been following REBOL for just over two years under several email addresses [myers--inforamp--net], [cybarite--sympatico--ca] and [mike--myers--cybarite--com] I found the drop in volume on the Ally list disconcerting. But on the weekend it picked up a bit and Carl seems to be back on the job now. 1/5/01 11:53:34 AM, Steve Shireman <[steve--shireman--semaxwireless--com]> wrote:

Part of the reason is that many of us hang out on REBOL/Link these days... which is even busier than the main REBOL list. So, that has caused Ally to go quiet. -Carl

Mike, Maybe we can start a Rebol SIG next time I travel up...(I have been to Toronto about 6 times in the past year, to test and demo my products on the wireless up there. I will email you next time I am coming up... Have you been to the Second City restarant at Pierson Airport? It has the comedian pictures from old Saturday Night Live on the walls. Pictures are better than the food, but it's an airport. Rebol is rocking and rolling. I don't think those guys ever sleep or stop working on making the future happen faster... Hey Brett and Mike, Yes, Carl and Gabriele didn't quite give enough info. About 20 or so developers are working with REBOL/Express and found out about it through invites based on their participation with View, Command, and/or general interest in REBOL. It was not done in a particularly scientific manner, so we may have missed a number of people that would be interested and good contributors to the beta testing, as well as potential customers through their companies or affiliates. As the system gets further features added and more stability, we are extending the invitations. Regards, Dan At 07:32 AM 1/10/01 +1100, you wrote:

Thanks Gabriele and Carl, One of my favourite movie lines is from Cool Hand Luke where the warden is hitting him with a shovel and saying What we have here is a failure to communicate . Can someone elaborate more on REBOL/Link aside from letting me know that they are running it and I am not? That shovel hurts! [mike--myers--cybarite--com]
