Hello, I am interested what exactly you need to do: - which ads are you talking about? - from specific web sites or the whole internet should be trawled? - how are the phone numbers related to the ads? - what will the phone numbers will be used for? Also, how much are you willing to pay? Many questions, Regards, Anton.

Thanks for your response. What I need is this I want to go to http://www.abracat.com/abracat/jobs/index.jsp and to a search for JOBS ->TELEMARKETING. There I get a page listing for jobs for telemarketing. Now I have to go to the next page and the next page and write to the phone numbers from each ad. If I go to lets say to http://www.azcentral.com/class/emp/ Their way for searching CLASSIFIED - > JOBS -> TELEMARKETING is totally different. And it will be different for many different new papers. So what I want is a automated way to search different newspapers on the web under their classified job sections for different items ex "TELEMARKETING", SALES And then return the 10 or 7 digits phone numbers ex - XXX-XXX-XXXX, XXX-XXXX, (XXX) XXX-XXXX, (XXX) XXX-XXXX write results to a text file. Only one number on each line. Need to able to schedule and run automatically everyday. I am looking for a robot. If you can do please let me know what you charge for your services so we may proceed. Thanks Chris Steele

Sounds like this calls for communication with RT about licencing requirements and pricing for this commercial app. Paul Tretter

What? I would call it personal use, if your brother doesn't use the app to make some money (or in other commercial purpose). This "charge for everything" even before technology is proven enough really starts to be strange ... After setting nice direction RT seems to be eating our loyalty away, and while corporate sphere doesn't really care to spend some money (although not always true), RT is isolating View usage to strict personal use. Just half a year ago message sent to community sounded much more comfortable to me: http://www.rebol.com/news0a23.html Ukiah, CA - REBOL Technologies announced the availability of REBOL/Core for redistribution. Software developers can now freely distribute their REBOL/Core applications with REBOL/Core. Subject to certain licensing requirements, developers can now develop convenient packages combining their REBOL/Core applications with a copy of the REBOL/Core binary and distribute these to their user base. Now I am not sure I can easily suggest novices to start with Rebol, if they can't even pass View on a floppy together with their scripts to friends ... PS: there is no need to start licencing policy thread once again, but anyway - confusion, confusion ;-) -pekr-

Cindy's the expert when it comes to the money. What we are trying to avoid is the case where a large corporation uses REBOL extensively, but pays nothing for it. We are still working on the correct formula for that. -Carl At 6/1/01 07:37 PM +0200, you wrote:

Petr, you are off-base here. The use is for a commercial store, not for anything. The rest of what you have said below is therefore not applicable. Dan

I purchased an unlimited command distribution license with the idea that core distributions were free as mentioned below. Q. Is there going to be an upgrade to the command runtime? Will it be covered under my license? Q. Did I purchase the runtime too soon? Or was I fortunate in purchasing, so now I can redistribute command scripts infinitely? Q.How do these changes affect my license? Terry Brownell

Hello Carl andfellow Rebolers, Is it not possible to just create a key in the the Rebol/Core engine that will allow up to just 3 computers to network succesfully. An interactive script can ask, "If you wish to use Rebol/xxx... for further network usage, or incorporate into your commercial enviornment, reply yes or no: (then) fill out form for liscence that allow key to work on X amount of systems wich is automatically mailed to RT. Network Key access expires in 30 days for whatever reason regular Liscence is not purchased. This way you will know imediately who is using Rebol for what. etc..etc...etc....

I didn't answer to your previous messages because I saw they were correct. (Anyway, I think the problem here is in the server; that FTPd is surely broken. So there's no need to make ftp:// recognize any possible language: we just have to patch it when we have to deal with such broken servers.
