crc 16/32?

Anyone know of any crc routines already written for Rebol? I need both
16 and 32 bit versions.

'checksum may be what you need, it has several refinements

Thanks. I'll check it out ASAP. I surely didn't wanna rewrite code that
was already in existence.

Well upon searching I never did find a method for checksum that does
crc32 but I did find
http://www.codeur.org/forum/edit_msg.php?ID=10692&theme=17
which has a crc32 function but you have to remove the gzip encoding.

You should check %rebzip.r on rebol.org too,
the crc-32 function used in is an updated version of the one in %gzip.r
(the crc is computed with integer! instead of binary!)
http://www.rebol.org/cgi-bin/cgiwrap/rebol/view-script.r?script=rebzip.r
You can strip all code following the 'crc-32 function,
it isn't relevant to the computation.
Note: computing the crc32 is quite slow for big files. REBOL is missing
fast bitwise operations (right/left shifting).
