Rebol-Tex/Latex

 [1/8] from: blemeri::noos::fr at: 16-Oct-2002 20:31

Hi, I would like to know if anyone has some information about a wysiwyg tex/latex editor in rebol called rbook by karl robillard. I am also interested in any rebol project concerning tex/latex. Thanks, Bruno.

Hi Bruno, I couldn't find any active links to rbook, so maybe you need to contact Karl directly. I also haven't seen anything much mentioned about TeX/LaTeX here. There were some threads recently about literate programming in general (and Leo, a Python tool) and there are a number of markup/formatting tools and dialects out there, but most are targeted at generating HTML or XML, rather than TeX. Lots of stuff is also following the current trend of separating document structure and format (e.g. CSS, XSLT, DSSSL). --Gregg

Hi Jason, Thank you for your response but unfortunately all these links are not good, that's why i asked here. Regards, Bruno.

Hi Bruno google search comes up with these: LyX Development News v3.0 http://www.lyx.org/news/20000315.php3 and Primal Form Developer Manual Version 0.1.0 by Karl Robillard 22-Jan-2000 http://primal.sourceforge.net/doc/devman.html hth ./Jason

Bruno, RBook is not a wysiwyg editor. It was my own attempt at a document markup dialect and is similar to Robert Muench's Make-doc-pro. I wrote two versions, the first of which could output HTML, Lyx and text. The second was a complete rewrite and I dumped Lyx in favor of LaTeX, though I never finished the LaTeX generator. -Karl On Wednesday 16 October 2002 11:31 am, Bruno Lemeri wrote:

If you really want it I could email it to you but I would recommend you use make-doc-pro which is still being developed. -Karl
