Hello, I cann't read news with a group name beginning by a number for example read nntp://news.epita.fr/3dfx.game connecting to: news.epita.fr ** Syntax Error: Invalid decimal -- 3dfx.game ** Near: (line 1) 211 83892 500422 587487 3dfx.game Do you know a solution ?? Thanks Mary

Hi Mary, If there are odd characters or spaces in a file name or url, placing "" around it often helps. Try nntp://"news.epita.fr/3dfx.game" Cheers, Allen K

Hi, quoting did not work for me too. Thanks, I report that to feedback. Tom Conlin wrote:

Mary,Allen I think the problem is deeper than that and calls for a bug report to feedback. quoting did not work for me (it caused the news server to be unrecognized)
>> read nntp://"news.continet.com/3dfx.support"
** User Error: No network server for NNTP is specified ** Near: read nntp:// "news.continet.com/3dfx.support" neither does url-encoding the address
>> read nntp://news.continet.com/%33dfx.support
connecting to: news.continet.com ** Syntax Error: Invalid decimal -- 3dfx.support ** Near: (line 1) 211 0 959 958 3dfx.support selected On Thu, 16 May 2002, Allen Kamp wrote:
