IMAP

 [1/4] from: dvydra:orion-it at: 15-Aug-2001 23:17

Thanks to everyone who mentioned IMAP. I confess to being ignorant about it. I noticed that Eudora does support IMAP. Is anyone on this list using IMAP currently? If yes, which ISP? I read about IMAP at www.imap.org. Thanks David

I use IMAP on all the servers I admin plus I use it for this account. I can't think of any providers though that offer it. -- Regards, Deryk Robosson Deryk Robosson 22 Flemington St. Albany, WA 6330 Australia ABN: 56 728 377 499 PH: +61 0408429835 EMAIL: [deryk--iitowns--com]

Almost every ISP in my area (Utah) offers IMAP accounts, if you want one. This has become regarded as a necessary feature in most mail clients.

You can use http://www.mailandnews.com to test things out. They are a web mail service that provides POP or IMAP access to the account as well. You choose which type when setting it up. Very useful for trying IMAP out. I think other webmail providers support IMAP too (ZipMail does I think). Chris. -- http://www.double.co.nz/dylan
