Rebol/Command

 [1/4] from: cribbsj::oakwood::org at: 14-Sep-2000 13:24

I have a couple of Command questions: 1. How would I run a script that has Core, Command, and View commands in it? Which version of the interpreter would I run it against? In other words, how do you install Command without overlaying the View or Core interpreter? 2. Does anyone know if RT will let you pre-pay for Command now, before it is released? The reason I ask is that I have some money in my budget that will be going away soon and I would like to use it to buy Command. I apologize if this list is an inappropriate place for these questions. If this is so, could someone direct me to the right place? -- Jamey Cribbs Sr. Technical Consultant

i had the same question...i'm getting a little frustrated with rebol...takes me an hour to do the simplest thing that isn't net related

i have rebol/core as `rebol' rebol/view is named `rebolv' and rebol/command is named `rebolc' doesn't answer the question though :/ -- *---------------------------------------- | |http://members.home.net/tsummerfelt1 | |remove myspleen to email | *-----------------------

Should we open discussion upon one-and-only rebol.exe and other in form of components/libraries/modules? :-))) Sooo many times talked here. However - there seem to be no reason why /View component should not be available to /Command - after all - it's "just" a component, isn't it? So, - let's assume RT wants it that way. Note to Brett - I don't give up. There are just things you can't do anything about :-) -pekr-

Heya, Is it just me or is it a great shame that the only way you can get access to /command is by forking out $249? The lack of /command is what stops Rebol from being as almost as useful on the PC as Arexx was on the Amiga. I can't really fault RT's biz model thus far, it just seems a bit of a shame not to have some sort of option for amateur folks. I guess this system works though, I have to figure out a way to get my company to buy it. :) -- Mat Bettinson - EuroGamer's Gaming Evangelist with a Goatee http://www.eurogamer.net | http://www.eurogamer-network.com
