anybody running maoww/jabber in a linux box ?

I tried the maowww script in View on a windows box and
it works nicely but when I use View on linux I can't
keep the "Menu" pulldown open to select any of the
options.
Is this a know view/linux bug ? (I run Red Hat 7.2
with gnome 1.4)
