[REBOL] Who Writes The Big Rebol Apps ?

Nice idea Ryan and I would have to agree. However with a hundred and one different people all coding their own you get the following problems: 1) Lack of standardisation. You need freedom of expression but against a standardised backbone. 2) Duplication - which is a major waste of time and effort. 3) Unnecessary competition instead of co-operation as a result of 2), leading to unnecessary division and we are too small to be divided. The Amiga scene was beset by these problems. Good ideas woud crop up in one app, different good ideas in another and you always wished you had a standard set of apps that just incorporated all these disparate good ideas. Also, if you are an Amiga user you will be familiar with the Amiga 'suite' of browsers, all from different people, all implementing different subsets of what should be a complete browser. Either that, or they are busy re-implementing each others features. I hope 'Carl and the Gang' will be able to *co-ordinate* the standard Rebol apps to avoid these issues. Lance.
