your suggestion is very good and we can use it with messages sent with "RebMail". Email headers are as follow (Gregg message had this stuff embedded): 8<---------------------------------------------------------- Received: from ( []) by wwmessd045.man23.icl.local with SMTP (Microsoft Exchange Internet Mail Service Version 5.5.2653.13) id Q3S3FNYP; Mon, 27 Aug 2001 23:40:20 +0100 Received: from ( []) by (8.9.3/8.9.2) with SMTP id XAA21143 for <[Mario--Cassani--icl--com]>; Mon, 27 Aug 2001 23:37:14 +0100 (BST) Received: FROM BY ; Mon Aug 27 23:32:51 2001 +0100 Received: from ( []) by (8.8.8/8.8.8) with SMTP id XAA17096 for <[Mario--Cassani--icl--com]>; Mon, 27 Aug 2001 23:41:48 +0100 (BST) X-eGroups-Return: sentto-3812682-36-998951816-Mario.Cassani=[icl--com--returns--onelist--com] Received: from [] by with NNFMP; 27 Aug 2001 22:36:57 -0000 X-Sender: [greggirwin--starband--net] X-Apparently-To: [rebmail--yahoogroups--com] Received: (EGP: mail-7_3_2); 27 Aug 2001 22:36:55 -0000 Received: (qmail 2456 invoked from network); 27 Aug 2001 22:33:57 -0000 Received: from unknown ( by with QMQP; 27 Aug 2001 22:33:57 -0000 Received: from unknown (HELO ( by mta1 with SMTP; 27 Aug 2001 22:33:57 -0000 X-eGroups-Return: [greggirwin--starband--net] Received: from [] by with NNFMP; 27 Aug 2001 22:33:57 -0000 To: [rebmail--yahoogroups--com] Message-ID: <[9mehsi+gasm--eGroups--com]> In-Reply-To: <[4--3--2--7--1--20010827071406--00c46220--pophost]> User-Agent: eGroups-EW/0.82 X-Mailer: eGroups Message Poster X-Originating-IP: From: [greggirwin--starband--net] MIME-Version: 1.0 Mailing-List: list [rebmail--yahoogroups--com]; contact [rebmail-owner--yahoogroups--com] Delivered-To: mailing list [rebmail--yahoogroups--com] Precedence: bulk List-Unsubscribe: <mailto:[rebmail-unsubscribe--yahoogroups--com]> Date: Mon, 27 Aug 2001 22:33:54 -0000 Reply-To: [rebmail--yahoogroups--com] Subject: [rebmail] Re: I would like to help Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit 8<---------------------------------------------------------- All the "X-" prefixed fields are optional/custom and can be read with msg/x-field in Rebol (msg is the imported email) so we can put some X-field data in outgoing messages to keep them tracked. What i wonder is: 1) Are the: Message-ID: <[9mehsi+gasm--eGroups--com]> In-Reply-To: <[4--3--2--7--1--20010827071406--00c46220--pophost]> field always available? 2) How are these X-fields and (most important if point 1 is true) the Message-ID/In-Reply-To fields embedded in a message? I mean both in Rebol and in mail clients. Thanks Zaijian Mario
