Personal Profile

Through many years I have got a brought overview in different IT topics. Since January 2000 I'm combining this IT know-how with management consulting activities to do more strategic related projects. The main focus on the strategic projects up to know where eBusiness, eProcurement, marketplaces and logistics.

My main interest is in developing IT related concepts including

  • infrastructure,
  • base technology,
  • tools and
  • business models.

All these things are integrated with a business analyst point of view to keep the project on time and in budget. The main focus for such projects is feasibility.

1. Consulting and Projects

The combination of consulting, project management skills and in deep technology know-how lead to several different projects. Starting with the development of IT concepts with a small team to business cases including business plans and technology concept and finally project management jobs.

When doing consulting my main goal is that the results create value for the customer and can be used pragmatically.

2. IT and Technology

Especially I like to use small self-made languages to get tasks done, building languages with parser tools and of course parallel computing.

Beside these 'normal' interests, I'm following the game developer community, processes and trends. I would like to do some contract work within this domain too.

My favorite languages to use for projects are C++, Rebol. For Internet relatedthings I prefer to use Rebol or PHP on the server side and Java Script and DHTML on the client side.

As a result of working with lot of different programming languages in the past,a new language takes me about 1 week to get started with it. After about 4weeks 80% to 90% productivity is reached.

Due to managing an open source project, which consists of a portable GUI library written in C++, I have gained a lot of knowledge about different compiler systems and especially how to do portable coding.

I have worked with several different database systems. Ranging from relationaldatabase systems to object oriented ones. A part from normal server basedsystems, I have used embedded database systems (like Berkely-DB, NeoAccess) directly combined with C++ source-code of the project.
