Rebol and Ubuntu 8.04

Hi list, I have a problem using Rebol view with Ubuntu 8.04: when I click on the bookmark "console", the viewtop closes and the rebol process is killed. I'm using the 2.7.6 version for Fedora, because tho one for Debian doesn't work. Please can anybody help me? Thanks a lot, Silvia

Silvia, You should be able to set your preference in the Viewtop in the "User" menu. Just untick Open desktop on startup . This should modify the file ~/.rebol/desktop/prefs.r ( desktop: true will change to desktop: false ) Regards, Anton. Fran�ois Jouen wrote:

Rebol ought to be submited to the ubuntu repositories. Include a killer app. How about a 'view version of MC? That will get some people's attention. Seriously Tim
