List subscription II
[1/5] from: hallvard:ystad:oops-as:no at: 25-Aug-2004 21:04
Hi again
I see now on rebol.org that my previous message reached the list (and that you all read
it!). But it never reached _me_. I checked the logs of my email server, and there was
no trace of emails from the list. So it's not my spam filter that stops them.
The last email I received from the list is the last email on http://www.rebol.net/list/.
What happened on july 27th? Miss Marple, are you there?
I recon I must be subscribed, since my email is distributed via the list. But why do
I receive... none! ?

Maybe your account is set on vacation by mistake?
Regards,
Gabriele.

Well, it could have been a vacation setting, of course (even though I've never sent anything
but 'subscribe' and 'unsubscribe' to rebol-request), but then again, unsubscribing and
resubscribing didn't even send me any confirmation... Seems to me the list doesn't even
bother trying to reach me. I checked for spam traps. My email server has two different
IP numbers (-.-.-.12 and -.-.-.13). The 12 number was registered as a spam relay back
in 2002, and it seems the listing wasn't removed yet from a DB. But this shouldn't be
the problem. Or at least, I hope so?
I still think july 27th is a clue!
I'm off to a weekend in the countryside. I'll look closer into the spam DB theory next
week. Bon weekend, tout le monde!
Hallvard
PS. Thanks for sending a copy of your mail directly to me.

I was not implying you did, but that there could be something
weird going on on Ecartis...

Hmm, so there has to be something stopping mail to you.

Gabriele.

Yes, but only from the rebol ML. No other mail is missing,
I _am_ reachable from the outside world... That's why I
presume the error lies somewhere outside my reach.
