mac osx 10.3

 [1/3] from: rcm:formix:au at: 6-Jul-2006 20:12

I recently installed Rebol on a friend=E2=80=99s Mac OSX 10.3. The console comes up, and it responded to print "Hello" with Hello ... so Rebol is working. However, the system won=E2=80=99t run r files. I=E2=80=99m not a Mac person, so I have 2 questions: 1 why isn=E2=80=99t the file extension automatically recognised by the Mac? 2 what to do with the following error message - Access error cannot open /users/fredsmith/setup.r Can someone enlighten me? -- Formix Australia - www.formix.com.au 613 9354 9585 PO Box 261 Nth Carlton Vic 3054

Hello Rosemary, The current OSX version of Rebol can't be associated with .r extension. Unfortunately in OSX, application needs some special code to handle this functionality(I don't understand why??) But I'm not OSX guru too so maybe there is some workaround? regards, Cyphre

OSX is BSD based, so I can't see why it shouldn't run with the right shebang. The file does start with #!/usr/local/bin/rebol (or some similar path) I hope? HY On 06/07/06, Rosemary de Dear <rcm-formix.com.au> wrote:
