[ALLY] Annoying view behaviour

 [1/6] from: johnkenyon:ibm at: 5-Sep-2000 4:32

Rebols, Try the small chunk of code as follows - view make face [ ] If you quit the view window then no problems, but if you hit 'escape on the console then 'view does not work again as expected. Instead, the same line of code returns control to the console immediately. I have tried this on 0.10.28 on Linux and 0.10.29 on Win32 both with identical results (as expected :-). This slows down any development when "playing" with view in console mode as I am often forced to quit and restart. Is there any workaround allowing me to fix the 'view command after this kind of exit, or should I just sit tight and wait for the next experimental build? Thanks to Carl and the team for all their excellent work. bye, john

Pekr, unview/all - exactly what I need. Thanks john

Pekr, I checked the version, just to be sure, but I still need the unview/all (or the do-events - cheers Volker). Once I am back at work again I will compare behaviour to my linux box. cheers, john

It seems to pop-up that "lost" window once again .... If it doesn't work for you, try unview/all in console and then try your view make face [ ] Cheers, -pekr-

However, I noticed last experimental build of /View differs in behavior - no need for typing unview/all anymore. It will simply recall the window - nice ... I wonder than why you have got different behavior with your Windows /View version (0.10.29) Cheers, -pekr-
