problem with mandrake linux 8.2

Hi Philippe, It may be that you've got your screen-face options wrong. In your user.r script there should be a line something like this... system/view/screen-face/options: none though the value may be something other than none. This is set when you install View and there's options in the installation setup to set these. Anyway, try changing the value in the above line in your user.r script to one of the following... none [dither] [exclusive-colors] [monochrome] Note you can also mix the values in the boxes. ie... but : i have try to use on "user.r" : [dither], [exclusive-colors][monochrome][dither exclusive-colors], and this to : if (not none? system/view) [ system/view/screen-face/options: [dither monochrome] ] but nothing more. i have to precise that the install of view have this window to http://perso.club-internet.fr/lagoon1/image/ the "user.r" is use after installation, so view have a problem with my mandrake 8.2. so it is possible that there is a problem with something like Carl describe, below.?? so Carl if you can describe what you did to install mandrake 9.0 probably i can run view on mandrake 8.2! (i have not 9.0) i am not a guru, but is it possible that my 8.2 have not be install correctly ??
