 [1/6] from: hallvard::ystad::gmail::com at: 30-Jun-2006 14:49

Hi list I don't mean to be unpleasant, but according to http://www.rebol.com/notes/rebol3roadmap.html, Carl planned «alpha releases [of R3] available in the late April time frame, with beta by June.» Is there an R3 beta for download somewhere, or did this go the way software projects often go - into postponing? HY

There are signs of progress though. Such as with RebGUI... http://www.rebol.net/article/0280.html and the browser plugins, with a beta now available for IE, Firefox/Mozilla and Opera... http://rebolweek.blogspot.com/2006/06/week-ending-18th-june-2006.html -- Carl Read.

that looks interesting, not who here that have the skills is going to make a simple Dpaint type app that can take this rebGUI example and produce something that you can just drag out a few boxes,buttons, pics and link them to cli apps test and save the resulting working script to be loaded and used by your average new user ?. -- Best regards, david mailto:david.may10-ntlworld.com

And how about Ladislav's thoughts on parse? ( http://www.fm.vslib.cz/~ladislav/rebol/rep.html). Will we see TO working with block rules? I looked for this in Rambo, but didn't see it. Should I add it as an enhancement request? Ladislav? HY On 30/06/06, Carl Read <carl-cybercraft.co.nz> wrote:

We're of course considering a number of PARSE enhancements. There's been no decision yet on what will be implemented though.
