[ALLY] View Panel GUI Contest

 [1/5] from: carl:rebol at: 8-Oct-2000 12:07

Can the REBOL/View Panel be more modern in graphical design but remain just as functional and efficient? I am open to suggestions. (But, judging by American Television this season, rectangular graphics are back in style. <grin>) Perhaps different "skins" could be allowed for the panel? Has anyone seen the new Macintosh? I hear it has a nice control panel look and feel. I think this would make a great contest. The creators of the winning "skins" would be given credit and would receive stock warrants for REBOL Technologies (as part of a contract). The skins would also be part of our Express commercial product. So, you world-class graphical and GUI artists, what are your ideas? Send me an example as a small graphics file. Should I post the submissions to the Reb and let people vote on them? (Of course, my vote counts double. ;) -Carl Notice: The offer of stock warrants herein is strictly that of consultant stock warrant compensation and does not imply a public offering of stock under the rules of the SEC.

just as functional and efficient? Yes it can! And I add it should! I don't like much the current design.

I saw the Mac OS X at Apple Expo and the UI is very cool. But look also to the "Modern" skin of Mozilla M18 (www.mozilla.org). I love it! Olivier

How about in JPG format, and no greater than 640x480 in size. -Carl At 10/9/00 07:31 AM +0100, you wrote:
