I'd love to see View on a handheld, and, and a Zaurus user, I'd be happy to participate in any beta testing phase. I think the main problem is the amount of memory REBOL/View needs. Don't be fooled by the small download file: REBOL unfolds into a very large space in memory. On my machine (Windows, not Linux, so these numbers will vary): -- Just loading REBOL/View takes up 3 megabytes. -- Typing Desktop takes another 2 megabytes -- And, with 768 meg of main memory, I don't have enough to try: mold system none But good luck! I'd like to see it work. And, I suspect in a year or two, handhelds will have memory to match today's desktops. Sunanda

rebol on palm os is impossible because of memory footprint. Someone has said earlier that palm/os only allows a task to use 128k of ram... which won't even load the rebol core in ram... But if you have linux on your palm, then it might be portable... but it still needs a binary for the palm's cpu... :-( -max ----------- meteor Studios, T.D. ----------- Never Argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to their level and beat you with experience
