Hi,
I have had a lot of fun with the MS Proxy server and trying to get java code to work
thorugh it.
The simplest way if you can modify the proxy server is to bypass the
authentication for one specific machine. You may still need to ensure the
latest fix pack is installed on the proxy and the socks client is correctly
installed on your workstation.
If you have no access to the server then try this http://www.geocities.com/rozmanov/ntlm/
Cheers,
John

Hi, hmm... I have lost faith in oneself. The subject states that it's a
MS proxy. Sorry. Well, MS Proxy uses NTLM authentification, which most
programs don't support because it uses MS proprietary things.
But there are programs that can do handle a MS proxy for you. Google for
HTTPort for example. Robert

John,
you have solved this and a lot of other problems. Now I
can use httrack, Adobe Acrobat web download, wget, rebol and eveything
that got blocked after our company changed to MS Proxy and NTLM.
