makespec.r

 [1/12] from: richard::coffre::francetelecom::com at: 16-Apr-2002 16:12

Hi, I try to use the script makespec.r but I have a problem. To define the different sections, we should use strings like === , "---", ... The problem is that in the generated HTML file these strings still be there. Why ? TIA Richard Coffre France Telecom Orbiscom T=E9l. : 01 47 61 46 28 Share what you know, learn what you don't

A guess .... because the === and --- did not immediately follow a \n i.e they have to be in column 1 or they are part of the text. I try to use the script makespec.r but I have a problem. To define the different sections, we should use strings like "===", "---", ... The problem is that in the generated HTML file these strings still be there.

The format requires that you do not put a space after the "---" and the === . I believe there is an example in the file itself. If I remember correctly Make-doc.r has the same requirement. Gregg, thanks for mentioning make-doc-pro. Just to avoid sending some of you to nirvana I didn't update my reb-site for quite some time (I should!). So please have a look at my homepage to get the actual version. -- Robert M. Münch IT & Management Freelancer Mobile: +49 (0)177 2452 802 Fax : +49 (0)721 8408 9112 Web : http://www.robertmuench.de

Hi Robert, I try it (the version downloaded from Rebol.com) and it works well. I have just a remark : in your conversion you use deprecated tags, do you plan to change this ? I plan to think about it really soon. ;-) Richard -----Message d'origine----- De : Robert M. Hi, well of course ;-)) but it might not be the latest one. Which verison is it?

What tags do you mean? Robert

 [12/12] from: richard:coffre:francetelecom at: 22-Apr-2002 16:39

For example, the use of the tag FONT is deprecated and IMO it will be better to create some styles at the beginning of the HTML file and to use them through all the document. There are 3 advantages : the file is lighter, it respects the new W3C standards and it is easier to change the format of the file if needed. My version is dated 8-Jun-2000.
