Calling AppleScript from REBOL

 [1/2] from: carl::cybercraft::co::nz at: 8-Mar-2003 12:08

Someone was asking about a good language to script a nightly build system in and which would run on Windows, Mac OS9 & OSX. I suggested REBOL, which got this response: looks nice but I see no way to call applescript from it on mac os 9, which I need to drive my compiler. On OSX there's a command line tool to do it, but not on OS 9 :-) Is this right? -- Carl Read

I have to admit that my knowledge of applescript and OS 9 is very limited, but I guess that is right. AFAIK there is no applescript integration in REBOL for OS 9. And of course there is no command line and thus no command line tool to run applescript. I guess perl (Macperl on OS9 and perhaps also on OSX) would be a good candidate for the job.
