AltME down?
[1/5] from: amicom::sonic::net at: 28-Feb-2005 11:32
I just installed a new OS on my computer and cannot connect to any AltME
world (including my own). Is AltME down currently or is it a problem with
my OS?
Just curious...

me too.
Try this:
http://www.safeworlds.com/check.html
to see if it might be a firewall problem at your end.
And remember it's Rebol3 these days.

Fine here, too.
Do you use a proxy? There's a few setup items for it if you do..

Hi Bo,
from: http://www.altme.com/firewalls.html
---------------------------------------
If you use personal firewall software like SyGate, ZoneAlarms,
Outpost, and others, you should check the settings to make sure that
ports 5400 to 5409 are open. Often you can view the settings by
clicking the firewall icon in the Windows system tray.
If you think it's your service provider (and it rarely is in this
case), you should contact them and complain about it. Tell them that
you need ports 5400-5409 open.

the latest XP may come with a firewall on by deffault
