If you have a look at eScribe, you will see that this post is indeed
identified as "pat665". My dream !
I have made the same post a few minutes later. It has not appeared.
To sum up:
1. with :
from: "pat665 <[rebol665--ifrance--com]>"
The post do not pass through to the list.
2. with
from: "<[rebol665--ifrance--com]>" or
from: "<[reboler--ifrance--com]>"
The post will pass and appear as "rebol665" or "reboler".
I am really at a loss ...
My version is ...
>> help system
SYSTEM is an object of value:
version tuple! 1.2.8.3.1
build date! 3-Aug-2002/1:26:31-7:00

My "Just testing ..." message, sent with
version tuple! 1.2.8.4.2
build date! 3-Aug-2002/0:10:27-7:00
and my patched 'send function, made it to the list with the following
header:
From: "Ingo Hohmann" <[not-my-real-mail--unknown-host--de]>
I didn't use send/header, though, but the plain
send ["The List" [rebol-list--rebol--com]] {Just testing ...}
format. Did you try if my patch works for you?
Kind regards,
Ingo

Try:
from: {"pat665" <[rebol665--ifrance--com]>}
Some SMTPs may misunderstand the address and maybe the list too.

Hi Ingo,
I did not use your patches.r before because I thought it was not
necessary with bêta.
I have just tested it (not this post) and I am waiting.
How come your version is greater than mine?
> version tuple! 1.2.8.4.2
How come Ladislav has no problem using the "regular" view (as it seems)?
Thank you for all this trouble and hoping for the best.

Hi Patrick,
your post seemed to arrive fine (the "just testing" one), with Pat665 in
the header, now we need to find out what my patch is doing differently ..=2E

My patch is still based on the Core 2.3 send, and it evolved in a
direction a little different from the beta version. Will have to create
a new version, based on 2.5 'send some time.

The first three numbers in the tell the Rebol Version number, the last
two the platform, where 3.1 is Windows, and 4.2 is Linux with libc6.

Now that I don't know. May be it depends on one of the servers it
passes, or he has a patch in his system he forgot about? That's the
reason why I add a *PATCHED* marker in the doc strings of functions, at
least if I use help I get reminded that I don't use the official version.

You're welcome.

Thanks for the laugh, I'm sure I'll visit Montpellier within the next
half year, I'll check if you're really from Montpellier, then ;-)
Kind regards,
Ingo

Re: [blocked posts] + [OT]
Hi Ingo,
I will be happy to see you in Montpellier.
I have a little bit of german left from my school time, same for my wife.
My son (18) speaks german better.
My daughter (19) knows only a few *bad* words learned from
a german (she) friends who stayed with us the last two summers.
I am sure that we will manage something.
I will email you privately my address.
Thanks again
Patrick
