too much fun
[1/5] from: ryan:christiansen:intellisol at: 24-May-2001 17:08
I'm having too much fun with my random REBOL word/picture art
http://www.fargonews.com/random/random.cgi
It should now generate three quotes with associated pictures:
1. silly sentence
2. quote from "Northern Exposure"
3. quote from The Bible
enjoy.

I dont know how your script works, but you can always grab quotes from my quote
server. I got 960 quotes in it so far, hope to add another 3000 or so.

I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination.
Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is
limited. Imagination encircles the world.

I'm not having too much fun, alas! The only quotation I get is
from the Sayings of Chairman Carl:
** Script Error: quote has no value ** Where: do-boot
** Near: quote-words: parse quote none foreach
(Or was this what you meant by "silly sentence"? ;-)

Try hitting Reload on your browser a few times. That error crops up
occasionally - though if you're getting it with every reload then
there's more to your error than the error others are getting. In
which case, talk to Ryan!

Oh - they're much sillier than that. (:

This happens to me on ocassion, too. I have an error-checking statement in
my code that should return a default statement if my web server fails to
connect to the quote server.
if error? try [quote-page: read
http://www.ravenblack.net/cgi-bin/surreal.cgi?gif=no parse quote-page [thru
<FONT SIZE=+0> copy text to </FONT> (quote: copy text)]][quote: {I always
wanted to visit California and look at all the cute chicks}]
Not sure why it's not working.
