documentation on all system/ paths

 [1/5] from: bry::itnisk::com at: 24-Dec-2002 23:03

Is there a document out there that describes the various paths found under system, I suppose this would be provided in the system port document when that comes out, but I would like to have access to information now.

Hi Bryan, try help system from the console - it will list all sub paths (1 level down). You could also have look at anamonitor.r which does something similar in a view format. James.

Anamonitor is good for that and Ammon will have an object browser in RIDE. Maybe he'll make the basic version available publicly at some point. -- Gregg

You're not the first one to react so after a first try at looking inside the SYSTEM OBJECT, but take care - this is simply an illusion you got. Your system is not freezed. It is working hard to look in the inside of the SYSTEM OBJECT itself. This is a HUGE OBJECT and it takes time and a lot of memory available for your system to success at the task. I just tried it on my Pentium 166 with most of the 64Megs RAM not available since it was used by other apps and here is what I got after a couple of minuts to wait after it...
