Hi Robert,
Thanks alot to confirm my understanding. Your work is great.
Keep the work done.
Petr talked about the Workflow system that can be part of the framework, this
is the subjet I am interested too.
But first thing first, I think Robert is trying to stabilize the code, laying
down the foundation for other functionnalities for building any kind of
e-business solutions.
Of course ideally, for myself, another main functionnalities should be :
A. Functionnalities
1. XML support and SOAP support
2. Aggreation from any kind of databases ( DB2, Oracle, MySql, PostGreSql,
etc..)
3. Aggreation of existing of data ( Excel, foxpro, dbase, Lotus 123, text
files)
4. Message Queing, Workflow
5. P2P
6. Mobile support,
etc...
B. Quality of services
1. Security
2. Scalability and Performance
3. Robustness
4. High availability
Of course you can inspire from the J2EE framework and do even better more.
Hey folks, the Robert work must really be back by all of us :-))
Thanks Robert.
Brice.

Hi, thanks a lot :-) Good to see that we finally made it to get some
people attracted to the idea and the pre-alpha-prototype.

Yes. I don't remember if I told you about my "whitepaper" for the
framework. Have a look at www.robertmuench.de/rebol-framework.html There
are all my ideas etc. in a semi-strucutered form.

Correct. If we have a stable base, everyone can use it and plug-in
what's needed.

Great stuff. It would help me a lot if you could have a look at the
white-paper and write some lines for each point in make-doc-pro format.
Or even write a seperate file with all your ideas in make-doc-pro
format, and I will include the information into the whitepaper.

I hope so, as I can't develop everything. The only thing I'm asking for
at the moment is to be the single-point-of-contact for implementation
things. I want to avoid forking etc. at the moment. Later on, if the
framework is more stable, a parallel development process can be used.

Ok, i will try to express some requirement in the upper level, I mean not
really technical. I will behave like someone who will use this framework to
build his/her own e-business solution.
I will list the ideal thing I need.
You can filter what it is valid as input, after that I think you will set the
priority to implement such and such functionalities.
Cheers,
Brice.
