This topic pops up every so often. And has been debated ad infinitim. IIRC
the last concensus was that the signal to noise ratio in a newsgroup is a
bit too weak.
There are currently at least 3 places on the web where this list can be
viewed and searched. (rebol.org for one) You could write your own bot (in
REBOL ofcourse) to grab the topics of interest to you.
And also there are RIM and IRC chat areas.
I'm not against a newsgroup, but I probably wouldn't use it (even if I could
get my ISP to take the feed).
There is a sense of community on this list that seems to get lost in
newsgroups.
