Sorry but I don't think a vote will be helpful.
My position is in basic agreement with Allen.
I'll add that I haven't seen an overwhelmingly better style than the
standard yet. So I don't think there is any point making changes that will
result in inevitable confusion. I also believe that people who may have
just joined the list will already be experiencing some difficulty with
recent posts that use a different style.
The value of coding style (as laid out by the vendor) in the Powerbuilder
world is so strongly recognised that you don't pass a job interview unless
you know it.
I think RT will, and needs to, lead the way and I'm quite confident that if
a much better style is developed it will be adopted. But it would have to be
brilliant. :)
I think there could also be some effort put towards ways of dressing up the
existing standard style (via for example spacing/comments) that will make it
more visually pleasant.
