Seriously, if _any_ PDA OS would fit into the same world as REBOL it would have to be NewtonOS ;) PalmOS is like AmigaOS1.x, each app lives in its own context and transporting data between tha apps on the device is pain in the butt, using the limited clipboard is simply too lame :) The newton has data recognition and transport between the apps buildt in and it works dandy. As an example, you can type in "dinner with Paula, next tuesday at 20 at cafe blurb" and it will look up Paula in the address book, and also cafe blurb if you like, and put the date into the schedule for next tuesday with full name of Paula and address of cafe blurb. Also, if I have an email program or two, a ftp client, an irc client, a speach syntesizer, a text processor and maybe a text2html converter installed, and I am in the notebook equivalent with some text, I can select the general "envelope" icon, and all those apps will pop up in a menu.. "send with mail app1 | send with mail app2 | ftp to... | dcc to... | speak | edit with text processor | convert to html" This is what I want and need a PDA for, not only _storing_ day2day data but also being able to process them and address them. One of the imho big mistakes Apple is doing today, is that they dont license out newtonOS, the number one PDA cpu for new PDAs today is the SA1110, which is the exact same CPU the newton ran (in form of SA110). Arg.. what a waste! :) </frustrant> -- kolla
