Funny you should mention this...
I was just brainstorming this notion while contemplating my gps location
app.
Here is an excellent book to stimulate you on the notion of higher
dimensions.
It is perhaps my favorite geometry book because of its' great catalytic
effect when contemplating the notion of mapping "data" to multiple and
extended dimensions.
