[REBOL] Real, New, Request for FTP Proxy Help

From: princepawn::lycos::com at: 8-Sep-2000 7:33

FACT ZERO: If I have to pay to get this working, then that is fine. FACT ONE: I can read remote FTP directories from behind my firewall via my Internet Explorer by simply entering the URL. The configuration for my proxy is achieved via a configuration file. http://planet.instinet.com/proxy.long.pac FACT TWO: I can read remote FTP directories from behind my firewall via my Opera browser by simply entering saying use proxy, with proxy name proxy.esn.instinet.com, port 80, no configuration file. FACT THREE: I can ftp to our proxy and give it a username of [username--internet--site--com] and a password and it proxies me to the remote FTP site. FACT FOUR: I am not sure if our ftp proxy is cern or socks4, but I include a transcript of my trace/net on attempts to connect to ftp.microsoft.com with various permutations of the system/schemes/ftp hierarchy
>> trace/net on >> diag
